I sit here tonight in disbelief as I look back and think about the love that you two shared and I reminisce in the fragrant memories of your wedding day.
I see a beautiful blushing bride and a handsome groom exchanging vows to forever love one another. There was so much time, preparation, love and effort put into everything. The cake was gorgeous, the tables all decorated with candy and favors. The family had come together to celebrate this union with excitement, welcoming each to the other’s family tree. As the blushing bride walked down the aisle arm in arm with her proud father, her groom anxiously awaited his turn to take her into his arms, and cover her with his wing to protect her and love her for the rest of her life.
A few short weeks later there was a tragedy, this young bride fought for her life and the life of her young husband. Unfortunately, her young husband did not survive, leaving his young bride devastated and heart broken. Her promise of forever was shattered, her life would never be the same. She tried to go on leading a normal life, going places with her family & friends, working and such but, there was still such an emptiness within, for she lost a huge part of her with him.
Then, just a few short months later we receive even more devastating news. This young bride’s life was suddenly ended as she was involved in a car accident. This news put us, the entire community & family, in disbelief to say the least. This young woman was very special, she was loved and will be missed by many. Though she was so young, she touched many lives in such a positive way.
I now see a young handsome groom standing at Heaven’s gate, welcoming his young bride into the kingdom of Heaven, taking her into his arms once more. No more broken promises or shattering of dreams, only love and happiness for now they have found each other once again and this time it will be forever.
All I can think is
“Rest in peace, Sweet Angel, for now you are in the arms of your beloved.
Rest in peace, Sweet Angel, for you are forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Sweet Angel.”
