The Ten Commandments, are you living by God’s law?

When it comes to Christianity, we are in a battle, a battle of good vs evil.  A battle that is more intense than any human can possibly imagine.  All of the lies and deceit that goes on in the church these days sickens me.  It’s like there is power in the lies & deceit as we as Christians have chosen to be quiet and and brush it under the rug so to speak.  The deceit & gossip is bringing the church to it’s knees instead of us getting on our knees to pray.  We need to be on our faces at the altar begging God’s forgiveness and his guidance on our lives. We need to stand and fight, we need to pray for our church without ceasing, we need to plead the blood of the Lamb over our church, over Christianity, over our lives.
What happened when God had enough of the sin in Sodom & Gomorah? What happened when God had enough of the people worshipping false Gods in Egypt?  He destroyed both cities, taking everything from them.  Stripping them of their livlihoods and leaving them in literal ruins.   Not to mention he destroyed the world once with floods.  And I can see him destoying it again soon.  You see God is a patient God. He is a loving God.  He is a forgiving God.  But, he too has his limits.  He too says I’ve had enough.
We have lost sight of the duties of being a Christian.  We have lost sight of the charge we were given, to spread the word of God.  To go tell it on the mountain, to proclaim the good news, that Jesus Christ was born, that he died and that he rose again.  That God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.  We were bought with the precious blood of the Lamb.
What is going on in the churches today is putting God’s patience to the test, lying, stealing, being underhanded and dishonest.  God’s people are supposed to be an example, a light unto the world.  We are supposed to stand up for what is right and just.  Don’t get me wrong God wants us to approach these people with love but, we are to be stearn and stand strong in our Christian values.  Don’t ever sacrifice your Christian values for anything that is not of God.
Look in the book of Exodus it talks about honesty.  Can you truly look in the mirror and say that you are leading a Christian life?  Can you say that your actions are truly pleasing to God? What changes do you need to make in your house? In your way of life?

The Ten Commandments
1. Thou shalt not steal
2. Thou shalt not kill
3. Thou shalt not bear false witness
4. Thou shalt not covet (envy)
5. Thou shalt not have any other Gods before me
6. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images (no servant can serve 2 masters)
7. Remember the Sabbath & keep it Holy
8. Thou shalt not take the Lord’s name in vain
9. Honour thy father and thy mother
10. Thou shalt not commit adultry

I leave you with this-get your life straight with God.  If you know him and need a better relationship, get on your knees and talk to him.  I love the words in a song-Don’t ever let your praying knees get lazy.  Get it together and get ready, Jesus will be coming soon for his people.
